Comedy & Improv Workshop with Sara Gaston – August 27th!
This workshop will be a combination of improv skills I’ve learned by studying at Second City & the Groundlings, and an exploration of comedy and how to find the funny in your scenes. We’ll explore different kinds of comedy, comedy ‘rules’ and comic timing. We’ll be using scripts from sitcoms and comedic films. All students will receive videos of their scene work via e-mail.
Class size is limited so reserve your spot now!
When: Sunday August 27th 12-5 pm
Who: Adults and mature teens ages 14-17
Cost: $115 (if you pay in full by August 16th ) $145 (if you pay in full after August 16th) (no refunds after August 17th – if you cannot attend, you will receive credit toward a future workshop or class for up to one year)

If you have ever toyed with the idea of going to Los Angeles for pilot season or for a permanent move, this is the workshop for you. I just got back from studying with the Groundlings and I have a lot to share about what you can do to prepare before you go and where to start when you get out there. This workshop will save you time and money, and will give you a head start once you get there. You’ll learn about branding, marketing yourself, laying groundwork, how L.A.’s market differs from Texas and much much more. |
